PINTO 7-8

The Pinto division is for players who are ages 7 and 8. This league is for players who are interested in continuing to improve their playing skills and advance their game. Games are played with the coach or volunteer pitching a ball at a consistent speed and within the designated strike zone. Scorekeeping is introduced at this level so that the players have a better understanding of the rules of the game. However, there are not any records kept as to wins or losses within the division. Playing and learning are still the emphasis within this age group.

Pinto players receive a Major League Baseball (TM) replica cap, jersey and socks as part of their registration fee. The season consists of 3 - 4 weeks of practice prior to the playing of games. Two games per week are typically scheduled for each team, and practices are at the discretion of the coaches. Games are played during the week and on the weekend, depending on the number of players registered and the number of teams formed.
